'''Ryota Matsumoto''' is an artist and researcher of postdigital and the new media artand architecture. He has been an Adjunct Professor at Transart Institute and is a researcher at the New Center of Research & Practice.He coined the term, After the digital, later known as the Postdigital, and published the paper in the new media art journal, Tokyo University Press in 1997. He stated described that the interlocking syntagmatic sequence of signifiers encompassed the axiomatic of the postdigital agency in the microeconomic assemblage of Japanese society after the collapse of capitalist accumulation.
Matsumoto received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 after studying art and design theory at the Architectural Association and the Glasgow School of Art.
